A guest room needs two outlets at the desk or bedside, and it needs charging that works with whatever cable the guest brought. One plate is cheaper to install than three.
Headboards, desk units and wardrobe end panels are drawn before the outlet is chosen. The vertical face fits the 100 mm panel; the horizontal one usually does not.
Both USB ports deliver 5V 2A, shared. That is overnight phone charging, not laptop power, and it is the right trade for a room where the guest charges a phone and a watch.

A hotel room has to work for a guest who arrives with a laptop, a phone and one cable of unknown type. Two outlets and two USB ports at one position is the minimum that stops the power strip coming out of the suitcase.
FS315-V-A+C puts all of it on the vertical face, which is what fits the desk unit and the headboard panel those rooms are built around.
Guest room outlets are specified per room type, not per building, and the count is usually two plates: one at the desk, one at the bed. Both land on joinery panels that are 100–120 mm wide.
The A+C combination is chosen for the desk because that is where a guest plugs in a laptop and a phone at once. At the bed, the single outlet version is usually enough — see the single outlet A+C plate.
On this plate the two USB ports sit at one end of the face, so the charging cables leave from a fixed point rather than from between the outlets. That matters on a desk where the laptop lead goes one way and the phone cable the other.
Plan the cable route against the furniture before fixing the plate. On a 121 mm tall face there is no room to move the ports later, and a USB cable exiting into a drawer back is a complaint.
Hotel orders are produced as room blocks and packed per room, so the fit-out team gets matching plates for each unit rather than bulk cartons that have to be sorted on site.
The A+C insert is tested as a module before assembly and the finished plate is function tested. Inserts are not field-replaceable, so the test is the warranty.
