FS315-V puts two 10A outlets one above the other on the 80 × 121 mm face. Two appliances at one point, 80 mm of wall instead of 121 mm.
The laundry is where two outlets at one position is not a convenience but a requirement. Stacked outlets keep both leads in one place instead of spreading them along the wall behind the machines.
The plate takes 10A inserts as standard and 15A inserts for the heavier appliance, so a washer and a dryer with different ratings can share one face.
Two stacked outlets put the lower one close to whatever is underneath. On a laundry wall that is usually a bench or a machine top, so the plate height has to leave room for two plugs and their leads.

Both ratings use the same vertical face and the same box. The horizontal double outlet is listed on the FS series page.
Double outlets are horizontal by convention, and horizontal is the right default. It is not the right answer on a 100 mm pier, in a laundry return, or on the end panel of a cabinet run.
FS315-V stacks the two outlets on the vertical face so both stay at one point. The outlets are independent; the plate is the only thing that changes.

Side by side is easier to reach and easier to read, and on a wide wall it is the better choice. Stacked earns its place when the wall is narrow, or when two leads need to leave from the same vertical line — behind a washer and dryer, for instance.
The electrical answer is the same either way. Two outlets, one box, one circuit unless the project splits them. The decision is about the wall and the appliances, not the wiring.
Australian plugs are large, and two stacked outlets need vertical clearance between the plugs, not just between the sockets. A right-angle plug solves most of it; two straight plugs on a 60 mm pitch can foul each other.
Check the plug type on the appliances before fixing the height. If both machines use moulded straight plugs, set the plate higher so the lower plug clears the machine top, and consider whether a switched version is wanted so the machines can be isolated without being unplugged.
FS315-V is assembled from two certified inserts and function tested as a finished plate. The insert is the same part used in the horizontal double outlet, so the certification carries across both faces.
White and black from stock; champagne, green and RAL to order with a sample approved before production.
Two appliances, one point. Confirm the plug types before the height.
Custom faces and laser marking on the vertical double outlet, in four stock colours or a matched RAL.
Factory pricing on mixed vertical and horizontal outlets, one colour batch across the whole schedule.
Datasheets for both faces and technical advice on plug clearance and appliance isolation.
Send the appliance ratings, the plug type, the colour and the quantity and we quote the vertical double outlet factory-direct with SAA documentation under AS/NZS 3112. Price is per order.
Contact Our Sales TeamThey are wired as one plate on one circuit unless the project brings two feeds to the box. If the two appliances need separate circuits, that is a first-fix decision and needs a box and cable plan that supports it.
With straight moulded plugs the clearance between stacked outlets is tight; right-angle plugs solve it. Check the appliance plugs before fixing the plate height rather than after the machines arrive.
Yes. Switched and unswitched versions use the same plate; the switch lets the appliance be isolated at the wall without unplugging, which is the usual choice behind a washing machine.
