FS316 is a horizontal double power point with an extra switch on the same plate. The switch controls the outlet beside it, so an appliance can be isolated without being unplugged — the specification for a washing machine, a dishwasher or a rangehood.
Appliances that sit under a bench or behind a panel are awkward to unplug. A switched outlet gives the occupant a way to cut power at the wall, and it gives a service technician a visible isolation point without moving the appliance.
FS316 is the 10A version on the 121 × 80 mm acrylic plate. The 15A variant is a separate model (FS316-15A), because the rating change is a different product rather than a setting.
The switched double point turns up wherever an appliance is hard-wired in practice but plugged in by code: laundry, kitchen appliance cupboards, rangehoods, and media units where the television and its accessories need a single isolation point.

| FS316 | Double power point with extra switch, 10A |
All models share the same 121 × 80 mm acrylic plate, the same screw-terminal connections and the same SAA approval under AS/NZS 3112. The FS series runs from one to six gangs; see the full FS series for the rest of the range.
A switched power point solves a small problem that becomes large in service: the appliance is plugged in behind a panel, and nobody wants to pull it out to cut the power. FS316 puts two outlets and a switch on one horizontal 121 × 80 mm acrylic plate.
It is a 10A model, which covers the appliances this configuration is normally specified for — washing machines, dishwashers, rangehoods and media units. The 15A version is a separate plate, ordered when the appliance itself needs the higher rating.
The switch is the point of the product, so specify which outlet it controls. In most installations the switch sits beside the outlet it isolates; where both outlets need isolation, that is a different configuration and should be confirmed at order rather than assumed.

Choose switched when the outlet is hard to reach, when the appliance is installed under a bench or behind a panel, or when a service technician will need a visible isolation point. Choose unswitched when the appliance has its own switch and a second one on the wall just adds confusion.
The cost difference is small, but the specification difference is not. A switched point has an extra mechanism and an extra set of terminals, which is why the box depth and the wiring have to be planned together rather than chosen at fit-off.
If two outlets are needed but neither needs isolation, the FS315 twin point is the simpler plate. If the appliance is heavier than 10A, go to FS316-15A rather than pushing this model beyond its rating.
Switched outlets are a specification item rather than a retail one, so they sit with the project ranges in Australia — Clipsal, HPM, Connected Switchgear, Zetr and Voltex — and with imported ranges supplied through wholesalers for contractors who need the configuration at a lower unit price.
The thing to check is not the brand but the configuration: does the switch isolate one outlet or both, is the mechanism rated for the load, and does the plate match the rest of the installation. A switched point that does not match the twin points beside it is a visible inconsistency on a handover.
IGOTO manufactures FS316 in Yueqing for distributors and private-label brands, with SAA approval under AS/NZS 3112 and the same acrylic plate as the rest of the FS range.
FS316 is assembled with two socket modules and one switch mechanism on the same carrier, then checked for isolation, shutter action and terminal torque before packing. The switch is tested against the outlet it controls, not as a separate component.
The plate runs in white, black, champagne and green, with custom RAL matching and laser marking. Mixed orders with the unswitched twin are packed together by colour.
Ordering the FS316 is straightforward — the checklist below mirrors what our sales team will confirm with you anyway.
Custom panel colours, laser marking and retail packaging built on the standard 2 gang platform, across PC, acrylic and aluminium series, with SAA documents covering the certified range.
Factory-direct pricing with flexible MOQ and scheduled delivery for Australian distributors stocking the FS series and the wider AS, CS and RS ranges.
Dedicated account management, Australian technical datasheets and priority production for partners building an FS range in PC, acrylic or aluminium.
OEM/ODM, wholesale pricing and distributor support — one enquiry gets you a factory-direct quotation for the FS316, with SAA certification under AS/NZS 3112. Price is quoted per order rather than listed, so tell us the model, the configuration and the quantity before you buy; replacement stock ships in bulk cartons or retail-ready boxes.
Contact Our Sales TeamThe plate carries a switch in addition to the outlets, usually to isolate the outlet beside it. It lets an appliance be switched off at the wall without unplugging, which matters where the plug is behind a panel or under a bench.
It depends on the model and the wiring. FS316 is normally configured so the switch isolates the adjacent outlet; if both outlets need isolation, confirm the configuration with the factory before ordering rather than assuming it.
Same plate format and same configuration, different rating. FS316 is 10A; FS316-15A is 15A for heavier appliances such as air conditioners and dryers. The model number on the carton is the only reliable way to tell them apart.
Not this one. FS316 is an IP20 indoor plate. Outdoor and wet-area positions need the weatherproof range with the appropriate IP rating, which is a different product line.
