The FS306 carries three independent two-way mechanisms on one 121 × 80 mm acrylic plate. It is the configuration that removes the row of single plates beside a door — three circuits, one plate, one cut-out.
Open-plan living and dining, kitchen plus meals plus pantry, a bathroom with ceiling, mirror and exhaust fan: these are three-group rooms. The three-gang plate keeps all three at the natural entry point instead of scattering switches across two walls.
Each gang is specified independently. A typical FS306 order is two 10A two-way gangs for the main and dining lights plus one intermediate gang for a circuit controlled from three doors. The plate does not change; only the mechanism behind each rocker does.
All FS plates are 121 × 80 mm. Moving from one to three gangs does not change the cut-out or the wall box, which is why a three-gang plate can replace a single plate in a renovation without touching the plaster.

All 3 gang models share the same 121 × 80 mm acrylic plate, the same screw-terminal mechanism and the same SAA approval under AS/NZS 3112. Other gang counts in the FS series run from one to six; see the full FS series for the rest of the range.
Three gangs is where a switch plate starts to earn its space. The FS306 puts three independent two-way circuits on one 121 × 80 mm acrylic plate, so an open-plan room keeps its switches at the door instead of spreading them across two walls.
The range is deliberately short: FS306 at 10A, FS305 at 16A and FS306DP with double pole mechanisms. Three gangs is already a specification decision, and most buyers want those three options rather than a long list of variants they will never order.
Mechanically it is the same platform as the rest of the FS series — screw terminals with back and side entry, AgNi15/Cu contacts, a 121 × 80 mm plate and a standard Australian wall box. What changes is the wiring density behind the plate, which is worth planning before first fix rather than after.

Move to three gangs when the third circuit exists at the same position — not when it might exist later. A kitchen with bench, room and pantry lighting is a three-gang room. A living room with pendant, wall lights and a display circuit is a three-gang room. A bedroom with one pendant and one lamp is not.
The alternative to a three-gang plate is two plates side by side, and that is usually worse: two cut-outs, two plates to align, and a visible seam in the finish. The three-gang plate is the cleaner answer whenever the circuits genuinely arrive at the same point.
What three gangs does require is cable discipline. Three switched actives plus a feed and earth is a full box, and if any gang is two-way the strappers add more cores. Plan the box depth and the cable entry before plaster, not after — the four gang plate is the next step up when a fourth circuit joins them.
Three-gang plates are a project item more than a retail one. They turn up in apartment fit-outs, aged care, hotels and open-plan houses — specifications where the electrician is buying against a schedule rather than a shelf. The brands that dominate that channel in Australia are the same names as the rest of the category: Clipsal, HPM, Connected Switchgear, Zetr and Voltex.
For a project buyer the useful question is not which logo is on the plate but whether the range covers the schedule. A brand that stops at two gangs forces a second plate; a range that runs one to six gangs in the same footprint keeps the installation consistent. It also matters that the plate format matches what is already on site — 121 × 80 mm for FS and CS, 117 × 74 mm for AS and DS, 120 × 78 mm for the rest.
IGOTO manufactures the FS range for distributors and project suppliers, with SAA approval under AS/NZS 3112 and documentation supplied against the model numbers on your schedule. We are the factory, not an Australian brand, and we supply the brands as often as we compete with them.
As the manufacturer, we put three-gang plates through the same line as the rest of the FS range: mechanisms fitted to the carrier, acrylic face applied, each gang function-tested before packing. With three gangs on one plate, per-gang testing is the only way to catch a mechanism that binds after assembly.
FS306, FS305 and FS306DP run in white, black, champagne and green, with custom RAL matching, laser marking and retail packaging available on the same production run. Mixed orders — three-gang plates alongside one and two gang — are packed together by colour.
Ordering a 3 gang Australian switch is straightforward — the checklist below mirrors what our sales team will confirm with you anyway.
Custom panel colours, laser marking and retail packaging built on the standard 3 gang platform, across PC, acrylic and aluminium series, with SAA documents covering the certified range.
Factory-direct pricing with flexible MOQ and scheduled delivery for Australian distributors stocking 3 gang switches and the wider FS, AS, CS and RS series.
Dedicated account management, Australian technical datasheets and priority production for partners building a 3 gang switch range in PC, acrylic or aluminium.
OEM/ODM, wholesale pricing and distributor support — one enquiry gets you a factory-direct quotation for the 3 gang FS plate, with SAA certification under AS/NZS 3112. Price is quoted per order rather than listed, so tell us the model (FS306), the mechanism and the quantity before you buy; replacement stock ships in bulk cartons or retail-ready boxes, and the standard mechanism is a rocker.
Contact Our Sales TeamThree independent lighting circuits at one position. The typical Australian examples are open-plan living and dining, a kitchen with bench, room and pantry lighting, and a bathroom with ceiling light, mirror light and exhaust fan. It is also common in apartment entries where hall, living and kitchen lights are grouped at the door.
Not for the plate itself — the FS three-gang plate uses the same standard Australian wall box as a one-gang. Depth becomes a real constraint because of the cable: three switched actives plus feed, earth and any strappers fill a shallow box quickly. A deeper box is often specified for three gangs, and it is worth confirming before first fix.
FS306 is three standard 10A two-way mechanisms. FS306DP uses double pole mechanisms, which break active and neutral together — specified for heaters and equipment that must be fully isolated. The plate and the footprint are identical; only the mechanism behind each rocker changes.
No — the plate is one moulded acrylic face, so the colour applies to all three gangs. What can be mixed is the mechanism: one gang two-way, one intermediate, one double pole on the same plate. If you need different finishes, they have to be separate plates.
