FS310 puts five independent two-way mechanisms on a single 121 × 80 mm acrylic plate. It is the plate for rooms where the lighting schedule runs past four groups and a second plate would otherwise appear on the wall.
Five gangs is a deliberate stopping point. Six is the maximum in the FS range; five leaves one position spare in the box without leaving a visible blank on the plate, which is why project schedules often land here rather than at six.
Perimeter, pendant, kitchen, pantry and outdoor lighting is five circuits, and in a large open-plan house they all arrive at the same door. The same count turns up in commercial fit-outs where one entry controls five lighting zones.
The plate is the 121 × 80 mm format used from one gang up, and it fits the standard Australian wall box. What changes at five gangs is cable volume, not the cut-out.

All models share the same 121 × 80 mm acrylic plate, the same screw-terminal connections and the same SAA approval under AS/NZS 3112. The FS series runs from one to six gangs; see the full FS series for the rest of the range.
Five gangs is where a switch plate stops being a room detail and becomes part of the lighting design. FS310 carries five independent two-way circuits on one 121 × 80 mm acrylic plate, so a large open-plan space keeps every lighting group at the same door.
The range is two models: FS310 at 10A and FS309 at 16A. Every gang is two-way as standard, which means each one can be a single-location switch or part of a two-location circuit without changing the plate.
The installation is the part worth planning. Five switched actives plus a feed, earth and up to five pairs of strappers is a full box, and the box depth has to be chosen before plaster. Once that is right, the plate fits the same cut-out as a one-gang.

Choose five when the schedule has five groups and the sixth position would be a blank. Choose six when the sixth circuit already exists or the box is being planned for a later stage and the cable can be pulled now.
The visual difference matters more than the electrical one. A five-gang plate and a six-gang plate are the same physical size, so the decision is not about wall space — it is about whether the sixth rocker has a job. An unused gang on a plate reads as unfinished, while an unused position in the box costs nothing.
If the circuits split across two walls, two smaller plates usually install more cleanly than one five-gang. Compare the four gang plate and the six gang model before deciding; the plate format is identical across all of them.
Five-gang plates are bought against a schedule, not off a shelf. In Australia that means the project ranges — Clipsal, HPM, Connected Switchgear, Zetr and Voltex — plus imported ranges supplied through wholesalers for contractors who need a lower unit price at the same gang count.
The question worth asking is whether the range actually reaches five gangs in one plate. A brand that stops at four forces a second plate and a visible seam; a range that runs one to six keeps the installation consistent and the spare inventory simple.
IGOTO manufactures FS310 and FS309 in Yueqing for distributors and project suppliers, with SAA approval under AS/NZS 3112 and colour matching across batches. We supply the trade as a factory rather than as an Australian brand, and the plate carries our customers’ logos as often as our own.
Five-gang plates are assembled and tested per gang on the finished plate. With five mechanisms on one carrier, the failure that matters is a gang binding after the face is fitted — end-of-line testing catches it, batch sampling does not.
FS310 and FS309 run in white, black, champagne and green, with custom RAL matching and laser marking on the same production line. Project orders are packed colour-sorted so a staged handover does not end up with the wrong plates on site.
Ordering the FS310 is straightforward — the checklist below mirrors what our sales team will confirm with you anyway.
Custom panel colours, laser marking and retail packaging built on the standard 5 gang platform, across PC, acrylic and aluminium series, with SAA documents covering the certified range.
Factory-direct pricing with flexible MOQ and scheduled delivery for Australian distributors stocking the FS series and the wider AS, CS and RS ranges.
Dedicated account management, Australian technical datasheets and priority production for partners building an FS range in PC, acrylic or aluminium.
OEM/ODM, wholesale pricing and distributor support — one enquiry gets you a factory-direct quotation for the FS310, with SAA certification under AS/NZS 3112. Price is quoted per order rather than listed, so tell us the model, the configuration and the quantity before you buy; replacement stock ships in bulk cartons or retail-ready boxes.

The plate does — it is the same 121 × 80 mm format as a one-gang. The box is the constraint: five mechanisms plus feed, earth and strappers need depth and cable room, so a deeper box is usually specified. Confirm the box model before first fix.
Same plate, same mechanism design, different rating. FS310 is 10A per gang and FS309 is 16A per gang. Residential lighting almost always uses the 10A; the 16A version is for circuits with a heavier load or a project standard that calls for it.
Yes — white, black, champagne and green are stock, and custom RAL matching is available through the OEM programme with a sample approved before production. On a five-gang plate the face is large, so batch-to-batch colour consistency matters.
